Tignes - Val d’Isère
From world cup racing to magical memory making, the globally renowned French ski resort of Tignes / Val d’Isère has everything going for it. With 300km of pistes, 97 lifts and 2 high speed underground trains, this Alpine dream also offers that rare commodity – guaranteed snow!
At an altitude ranging from 1550m to 3456m, its two impressive snow parks cater for everyone – from entry level blue jumps to thrilling XL blacks… Not forgetting an endless expanse of off-piste that will keep you exploring for years to come.
Open from mid-December to the first week of May, Tignes / Val d’Isère boasts one of the longest skiing seasons, with pristine conditions. And because every season is an Alpine season, the Tignes Glacier opens as early as October and even welcomes you during some of the summer months! Its 20 km of ski runs, 12 lifts and a snow park will give you plenty of space and time to hone your skiing talents.
In 2015, Tignes became the first ever ski resort to receive the Green Globe Certificate for its contribution to sustainable development. The resort consists of 4 distinctive villages that are linked together by both spectacular ski slopes and a network of ski lifts. Val Claret and Le Lac are connected by a free 24-hour bus service, while Boisses offers a free bus service that runs until midnight every day.
As one of France’s most beautiful and extensive ski resorts, Val d’Isère is set to become your go-to destination. While famed first and foremost for its fabulous skiing, Val d’Isère is also home to a vibrant nightlife and an array of fantastic eateries, suited to all tastes and budgets: from typical local cuisine to its own 2-star Michelin restaurant. A comprehensive leisure experience that makes Val d’Isère a proud member of the ‘Epic Pass’ network, which allows you to travel the world and explore the best ski resorts, all on one ski pass.
