Tignes Le Lac
At 2100m, Le Lac is the largest and main village, with a namesake lake that freezes over in the winter. The perfect location for families, this is where you will find the Maison de Tignes (tourist information), that organises some of the Alps finest fireworks shows and outdoor concerts.
The majority of ski schools have their main offices and meeting points here. It is also a very popular après ski spot, with plenty of terrace bars where you can enjoy the magical views across the mountains. Le Lac also hosts many restaurants ranging from local Savoie delicacies to fine dining. What makes this village so unique is its amazing location surrounded by pristine ski slopes.
Tignes Le Lac is part of the globally renowned ski resort of Tignes / Val d’Isère, home of world cup racing and unequaled Alpine hospitality. It is one of only a few snow sure resorts in France with 300km of piste, 97 lifts and 2 high speed underground trains (funicular).
